Precious Metals In-frame Overhaul Kits are engineered to deliver a reliable and high-quality rebuild that meets Caterpillar’s recommended overhaul practices. They include all parts necessary for a variety of repair options, from a basic repair to a complete in-frame overhaul. Kits can be purchased over-the-counter at any Foley, Inc. location and come with a factory-backed, one-year parts warranty, covering Cat parts needed to correct the failure, including Cat parts damaged by the failure, and labor needed to correct the failure at an authorized Cat dealer. In addition to the standard one-year warranty, Extended Service Coverage for these kits is also available for up to four years, with no mileage or hour limitations, so customers in all vocations and applications can benefit.

MEDIUM-DUTY: C7, 3126B, 3126E

With cost-effective and simple-to-order overhaul options, medium-duty precious metals overhaul kits deliver reliable, high-quality rebuilds that meet Caterpillar’s recommended engine overhaul practices.

BRONZE

SILVER

+ Basic in-frame overhaul (comparable to most will-fit in-frame overhaul kits)
+ No core charges
+ Includes all parts from Bronze Kit, plus six pistons, rings, pins and retainers

GOLD

+ Basic in-frame overhaul
+ Most cost-effective extension of asset life
+ Includes the core components from the Bronze Kit, plus six Reman piston packs, preassembled piston packs (saves labor on piece part assembly)

PLATINUM

+ Complete out-of-frame overhaul
+ Replaces the need for block machining
+ Includes all parts from Gold kit, plus bare block, Reman HEUI pump, six Reman injectors, Reman oil pump, Reman cylinder head and IAP sensor)

TITANIUM

+ Complete out-of-frame overhaul
+ Includes all parts from Bronze kit, plus Reman long block*, six Reman injectors, IAP sensor and preassembled Reman long block (saves labor on piece part assembly)

HEUI FUEL SYSTEM KIT

+ Excellent mid-life performance improvement
+ Stand-alone repair option or combine with other kit options
+ Includes six Reman injectors, plus Reman HEUI pump, hold-down bolts, IAP sensor, seals and O-rings

*Note: Long block includes factory installed HEUI pump, oil pump and oil cooler.

+ Includes the core parts from the Bronze kit and the added bonus of Cat Reman cylinder pack assemblies (which are beneficial because the rods, pistons, rings and liners come preassembled, saving four to six hours of labor compared with the Silver kit)

PLATINUM

+ Includes the components from the Gold kit, plus Cat Reman cylinder head assembly, Cat Reman fuel injector, Cat Reman water pump, Cat Reman oil pump and cylinder head bolt set
